What Is The Clenbuterol Supplement?

Clenbuterol, or simply clen, is a bodybuilding supplement for the purpose of enhanced athletic performance, muscle increase and weight loss. It was originally used as a drug to treat asthma, but has since spread out to the fitness world thanks to its so-sought-after effects.

Since clenbuterol is a substance of shady character and hence banned from mass use, studies on humans are limited and therefore its intake should be strictly supervised. Most of the research has been done on animals, namely horses. Be careful not to read up and take clen dosages for horses!

The muscle-increase aspect of clen intake takes effect in the form of reducing the amount of protein removed from muscle, ultimately keeping the muscles bigger.

Clen helps you burn more fat by allowing your body to use more of the stored fat due to a slightly elevated body temperature, but not all is dandy as with the benefits come the ugly side-effects.

Clenbuterol Side Effects

  • Curbed appetite
  • Nervousness and anxiety
  • Headaches, nausea
  • Tremors / shaky hands
  • Sleep problems
  • Increased perspiration

… and some more not as awesome. These side effects are temporary and should be gone within a time-span of about 10 days. If not, make sure you’re not overdosing and that you don’t have a medical condition that might aggravate the symptoms.

Clenbuterol And The Heart

A research on horses has discovered that upon them administered clen for a few weeks’ time and hitting the treadmills (imagine that), there were structural changes in the hearts of the horses. Now you may say; “Cool! Maybe it has a real heart shape now!” – NO, heart shape change in any way is bad.

The heart growing in size makes it more susceptible to damage as well as leaning towards leaving you fatigued much quicker from cardiovascular activities.

Clen is often quoted on being able to cause sudden death when overdosed, some make your decisions bearing that in mind.

Clenbuterol – How Much? How Long?

First of all, the miracles of enhanced performance, muscle-increase and weight-loss are short lived — while the effects on the heart are of unknown longevity and severity.

  • men: 60 – 140 mcg per day
  • women: 40 – 80 mcg per day

It is recommended to start with the minimal, upping every day by 20 until reaching the maximum and then going back with decrements of 20 once again.

All that spanning 2 weeks, followed by 2 weeks off. This is called a cycle. After the 2 weeks’ rest, clen is effective once again you can can restart the cycle.

Make sure you absolutely do not overdose! Unless of course the premise of sudden death seems to you as the best thing evar.
